Havelock Memories

We really enjoyed our time in Havelock, and it passed by faster than we would have liked. Both John and I commented on how we weren't quite ready to leave. The setting is gorgeous, the home cozy, and the pups a joy.

Havelock's Holly & Maya

After leaving North Bay, the past week seemed to be one crisis after another. Our initial plan involved visiting friends in southern Ontario, but the blizzard brought that idea to a screeching halt. Our next course of action was to drive to Peterborough so we'd be close to our next housesitting gig, but that changed as well when we got stranded in Gravenhurst due to the white out conditions and highway closures.

Arrowhead Provincial Park

Juice Among Friends

Time flies when you're having fun and the past six weeks have flown by for us and Keegan's owners. If they'd had any fears of their little boy ignoring them upon their return, I'm pretty sure they vanished as soon they walked in the door. Keegan literally jumped into Craig's arms, and he gave Deb so many puppy kisses she had to remove her glasses. He stayed close to them all evening, and in my book that's exactly how a reunion should play out!

A Chilly Start to the New Year

Happy 2014! The cold snap that began LAST year (that sounds so much more dramatic than 'a few days ago') continues here in the Great White North.
